The tiny figures of the ballet class stood against the wall, the young girls' eyes were wide with excitement and curiosity as they watched the elder danseurs dance before them, their forms bounding gracefully across the stage. Arianna was among the elder performers. Her eyes closed as she bounded into the air, landing in a pointe position before she began to continue her dance. The 18 year old wasn't exactly dancing, she was playing her part of the poor servant girl in the performance Cinderella, her favourite dance.
Many of the young girls cheered as the prince approached her with the glass slipper, sliding onto her foot and then leaping up in joy, dancing across the stage with love and happiness. "Oh Cinderella, please will you be my wife," the music seemed to sing as the two lovers twirled around each other, Arianna landing in the prince's arms as she cried out with joy to his question.
Behind the two amazing dansuers other minor parts danced around aswell. The wicked step-mother was scorning as the danced in the corner; the step-sisters arguing as the music began to get frantic. The dancers came to a stop, huffing and puffing, and then they ran off the stage, appearing moments later.
Arianna, the princess-to-be, wore a dazzling wedding gown, a crystal tiara placed on her head to match her glass slippers, real tears rolling down her cheeks as the music began to play. She danced around the stage, not tripping once on the large train of material behind her as she moved closer and closer towards her prince. The prince was beaming as he danced in a circle, awaiting Cinderella to come so they could be wed.
The performance was soon over, tiny ballerina's laughing and giggling as they talked to the handsom prince. Questions that made his cheeks go red could be heard; "Patric are you single?", "Do you always dance so passionately?" & "Can I dance with you!" But he loved the attention, yes he did. Arianna on the other hand stood in the corner, smiling as she watched the little girls drool over her prince, she enjoyed watching him get all the attention. It wasn't unusual for her to be alone, most of the little ballerina's usually were interested in the prince.
Her attention was caught as something tugged on her tutu, her dark hazel gaze averting downwards to land on a little girl around the age of 6, her big blonde curls matching with her big blue curious eyes. She was a stunner. "Ari... Arianna, I wish I could dance like you! You really did look like the princess," she said before smiling shyly. Ari nodded her head and crouched down, taking the youth's hands in her own.
"Someday you'll be just as good as me, and when that day comes I'll promise to be there to watch your first performance, professional performance" she said seriously. The young girl nodded her head excitedly before leaping off to join the other girls, giggling as Patric began to sign anything that threw at him, including leotards.
Girls, girls, girls...
Your Character
Name: Arianna Rae LaBelle
Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
Income Tier: II
Profession: Ballerina
Celebrity: Mandy Moore
Personality:
Flirty. That's the word that would be used MOST to describe Arianna Rae LaBelle. It was a common action for people to whistle and stare as she walked down the streets or into a bar, Arianna returning the gesture with her dazzling smile and a flirtatious wink. Most would use the words "slutty" or "whorish" to describe her actions but Ari wasn't either, she just liked to have fun and joke around or what she thought was joking. Though Arianna is flirty she tends to be slightly cautious when trusting people, even if they trust her.
Crazy. Exciting. Arianna isn't the one to turn down a challenge. Many people would call the girl crazy. In her 20 years of life she's jumped out of an airplane (with a parachute, of course), bungee jumped and broken a lot of her bones in the process, making her dance instructor very grumpy. Arianna always loved to be adventurous and cunning, never showing that she was frightened. She's very talkative aswell. She doesn't say hundreds of words in one minute, like some annoying people. But she likes to talk when things are awkward or sad. Arianna likes to joke around and smile a lot and be happy & talking takes people's minds off the bad things.
Stubborn. Determined. When Ari believes in something, she'll stick up for it no matter what. She doesn't care whether she's sticking up for something that everybody in the world thinks is wrong and grotesque, if she thinks it right then she'll tell you & won't keep it hidden. Her determination is very obvious. Arianna was told from a young age by her mother that to be a ballerina you needed to be determined that's what you wanted to do, because the pains unbelievable, and as she began to dance Ari began to realise just how much that statement was true. But she was determined to go through with her dream.
Appearance:
Her eyes. That's Arianna's favourite part of her body. Her enchanting, dark, hazel eyes.
Many times Arianna's caught somebody staring into her eyes as if there were looking into an abyss. She'd usually look awkward but soon enough absorb the fact that many thought she had very beautiful eyes that contrasted amazingly well with her light tan face and big eye lashes. Surprisingly enough when Ari has been crying or is angry her eyes turn the lightest shade of green, making her more beautiful even when she's upset or angry. Above her hazel eyes are nicely shaped eyebrows that are the same dark brown/black as her hair.
Arianna stands at 5'6 and proud of it. Her legs are slender and tanned but usually look pale due to the fact that she has to wear pale stockings for her career. Because Arianna's a ballerina she has to watch her weight, meaning she doesn't eat junk food as often as most women her age. She's usually only allowed 1 chocolate bar a week and has to work that fat off by doing at least 4 hours of practice. She's proud of her slender figure and wouldn't trade it for any other, seeing as it's the body that's made her a ballerina. Her body has endured lots of pain and due to the fact that inside her pointe shoes there's a metal piece, her toes aren't what you'd call "pretty", something she doesn't like about her body.
Her blackish brown hair is naturally straight but she usually has to curl it for performances, making it messy and wavy but after a few brushes could be straightened easily. It frames her face sweetly and usually goes nice when she packs on eyeliner, but that's not allowed when she performs. She likes to wear her hair up in a french braid or just in a ponytail, because it doesn't make her hot and she believes it keeps her cooler and looking more radiant. Arianna enjoys having her dark hair, seeing as most of the girls she works with have blonde hair, trying to be the perfect Barbie girl. She is usually chosen to dance because she stands out, unlike the rest, which makes her happy to keep the style and colour of her gorgeous hair.
History:
Matthew James fell in love with Layla LaBelle before he'd even met her. Seeing that gorgeous woman on stage, dancing her heart out, made him feel giddy and happy. Matthew and Layla met at a party after one of Layla's performances and as soon as they met they fell in love.
Matthew had always been a passive smoker; he'd started at 13 years and was soon diagnosed with lung cancer, 17 years of smoking. Soon after Matthew was diagnosed Layla surprised him by saying she was already 4 months pregnant with a little girl. Matthew hadn't noticed anything about her size or sickness because he was usually working, trying to get money so that he could help Layla with her dream to be a Prima Ballerina. He was delighted to know that he was going to be a father, he forgot about his own problems and began preparing for his daughter that would soon be entering the world.
Arianna was born only 1 month before Matthew passed away. He hadn't gone through any chemotherapy or anything because he wanted to live out his life without the pain. Her father was happy that he'd settled eyes on his baby girl before he'd passed; he chose her name and smiled to himself, knowing his daughter looked more like himself then her mother. They both shared the same enchanting hazel eyes, though dark, and the same wavy, brown locks. And even though he only had 1 month with his daughter that was enough.
Arianna LaBelle was told that she was an amazingly attractive young girl ever since she remembered. A lot of people told her she looked exactly like her father when she was little but as she began to get older she began to show the soft features of her mother. Arianna didn't grow up around her mother, since Layla was trying to build up her career, so she soon learnt to warm up to Paris Fox. Paris Fox was a woman in her late 20's and though she was magnificently beautiful, and surely could have been a model, she spent her time caring for Arianna, a girl that seemed to be motherless.
Paris Fox was like Ari's second mother for 5 years, until the little girl turned 6, and then she had to leave because Paris' mother had mysteriously dropped dead. Arianna was disappointed but happy as well.
She would now, presumably, be able to spend more time with her mother who she had never really gotten to know. And to Ari's surprise her mother did let her spend time with her, though they didn't talk, Arianna was able to come watch her mother practice and perform ballet.
The ballet soon began to intrigue Arianna, like it does every other little girl, she loved the frilly tutu's, pointe shoes and the surprising way the dancer's were able to flex. Ari decided she'd try and dance like her mother so she watched and did the same things her mother did, always getting better each and every time she did it, she was soon able to perform things that a ballet dancer wouldn't learn until she or he was at least 16 years of age.
Layla had been dating for awhile, always jumping from man to man every few weeks. It was only a matter of time before she realized she was pregnant with her second child. Arianna knew nothing of her unborn brother or sister, and probably never would. Soon after the child was born, he was named Boston, Layla sent him off to his father, seeing as she didn't have time nor the money to care for a child.
Arianna had never suspected her mother would do such a cruel thing to her own child, seeing as she hadn't done anything so ridiculous in her life. But one day Ari was searching for some makeup in her mothers back and found a picture of a little baby, his big blue eyes staring out at her with curiosity. On the back it read, "This is your son, Layla. He's such a wonderful child & yet you gave him up…"
The young girl was shocked to find that the whole situation with little Boston was true, confronting her mother about the situation. Layla yelled and screamed, trying to plead with her daughter to understand her side of the story but Arianna could only think about the little boy and how her mother and probably ruined his childhood. How could a kid grow up without having a mother?
Trying to forget about the fact that her mother had deceived her Ari began to audition for ballet schools, hoping to escape the torment of her everyday life alongside her mother. Weeks after she had auditioned for Madame Logan's Ballet for the Gifted Arianna was accepted. The girl was soon picked up by a ballet co-operation that was delighted to let her join; she agreed happily and then was off to dance in actual productions. Ari was doing very well, only dancing minor parts in minor productions but she still was happy that she could dance professionally.
When Arianna turned 20 she was accepted into a Ballet Group that did professional performances! She was also happy to celebrate the fact that her mother was getting 1/2 the custody of her half brother Boston. Arianna was delighted to know that she'd finally be able to get to know her brother that had been born 4 years ago.
Cruise! That was the family's idea of a fantastic celebration. Oh how they were wrong. Arianna spent most of her time with Boston, a charming little boy that talked just as much as she did and they shared the same charming smile. Layla, too, was happy knowing that her two children were getting along and seemed to love each other even though they were only half siblings. She could tell that Boston was so curious about the frilly pink tutu's that Arianna had bough along, he had even tried to put one on, though of course it had been too big. It was funny how she had thought that having another child would have bought stress into her life, now all she could think was that her two children only bought love & happiness.
